Welcome to the Rideau Family Health Team's website!

We are a team of 10 physicians and 7 allied health professionals whose mandate is to maintain or improve the health of our patients.  As a patient, you are a partner in your own healthcare.   Our healthcare providers will work as a team to determine who will best address your needs on an individual basis.  That means that you may not always see your family physician.  Instead, your family physician may decide that you would be better served seeing one of our allied health professionals e.g. the pharmacist, dietitian or nurse practitioner.  Our Allies have vast experience and knowledge in their specialties and we are excited to have them on our team.

We have lots of exciting programs going on to help patients who have Diabetes, are at risk for Heart Disease, would benefit from seeing a therapist and/or have Asthma/COPD.  Please see CDMP to learn more about these programs.
We are also working toward improving efficiency within the FHT by using a new booking model called Better Access, measuring how long patients spend in the clinics and mapping patient flow within the clinics.  At times you may be asked to help us with this when you come for your appointment.  We appreciate your assistance in improving our clinics!
